Account Handler – TUE

About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Handler to join our London team. This is an exciting, fast paced role with a focus on wholesale Irish accounts and a great opportunity for an experienced Account Advisor/Handler to broaden their knowledge. Whilst the role will be multiclass there will be a focus on Property so experience and knowledge in this area is important.
About You
- You will have experience with managing your own portfolio of risks placed within the London Market.
- You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients alike with the ability and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic team.
- You will have experience working with Microsoft Excel and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
- You will have experience working in the insurance industry and be passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.
- You will have experience working with PPL within the London Market.
Key Duties
- Looking after a book of renewals and new business enquiries being responsible for the process from start to finish.
- Responding promptly to intermediary queries and ensure that all communications with customers/insurers and other relevant business contacts are accurately recorded in writing.
- Underwriting on an in-house Property binder.
- Informing intermediaries of the policy cover, terms, conditions and claims protocol so they can ensure that the client understands the effect of a breach of policy conditions.
- Dealing with mid-term policy queries and cover changes and issue endorsements/documentation where appropriate.
- Giving instructions and relaying any issues to insurance providers/broking team.
- Maintaining and developing relationships through the delivery of excellent service, technical knowledge, and expertise.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of system data to ensure data and information integrity.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the Central Bank of Ireland by keeping up to date with changes in the regulatory framework.
- Preparation of MRC Slips and Endorsements for Lineslip and Open Market business
- Liaising with team members, Underwriters, Producers as and when required
- Loading MRC slips to PPL for sign off by Underwriters.
- Producing formal policy documentation.
